Dreams of Home

This rotoscoping class exercise tasked us with drawing and erasing scenes of domestic and urban spaces, working around the themes of "event" and "memory".

Dreams of Home follows a daydreaming girl in her room as she is propelled back to her home country. She doesn't get much time to enjoy it before being pulled back into reality.

"Event" is here expressed through the act of daydreaming in a domestic Australian space, with "memory" manifesting through a nostalgic urban Swiss setting.

The short animation explores my feelings of home-sickness, displacement, and longing for the past.
